The person behind the part
Melodic guitar against mechanical grit.
Raven Kuroda is Iron Lowboy’s dramatic, self-possessed lead-guitar persona. The 38-year-old long-haired twin, of Japanese and Portuguese parentage, pairs flowing raven hair and black stagewear with electric lead, slide, and acoustic guitar.
Her expressive character gives the heavy grooves a melodic guitar line. Beside her sister Roxie, Raven forms one half of the band’s twin-guitar identity: an extended phrase above a hard rhythmic shape, or a change in touch that reveals another side of the steel-and-furnace world.
